Yes. I'm creating a magazine cover using InDesign and Illistrator.
I was gonna create a Ultimate Univers article on the front cover page.
And i figured i could help you get the Ultimate Universe name out there.

I love the Warp Engines !!
They now have a more metalic look when they not lit up.


(Question #1)
The Impulse Engines turn grey when at full stop. Is they suppossed to do that?
I thought it was suppossed to turn to a darker shade of brownis red. (Seen Here)

I do like it though.


(Question #2)
Now the question is can we have this new DDS Glow setup and still have
the correct Warp Entry Flash from the Warp Nacelles only like it is now???

If not then don't worry about it.

Your welcome Eric, say...when you get the cover finished please post a pic for the team to check out. We would like to see what you have made.

On the impulse engine glow....Yes I used a very dark gray for them. Makes them appear off. They should turn red when thrust is applied.

On the Warp flash.....I haven't touched it, so it will play when ever you go to warp, even from a powered down look I guess.

The Warp flash issue is that everything flashes when I go to Warp Speed. Impulse Engines, Deflector Dish, Torpedo Launchers Saucer Windows... Everything flashes.

Only the Power-Stage Magnatomic Flux Chillers (Blue Glow) on the sides of the Warp Nacelles were suppossed to flash like that when I jump to Warp Speed.

I think when you gave the Deflector Dish and Impulse engines actual glows, the program fouled up Warp Nacelle Flash accidently.

You may need tocreate a seperate glow setting/config for the Impulse Engines and the Deflector Dish and get rid of the window glow all together if at all possible to correct the Warp Flash.

I'm just flushing my brain so If you can't do that due to game engine limitations, I'm cool with that.  Awesome

From what I understand everything that has a glow activates during warp.  I don't think separate glow files would work either because if the 3d model file does not recognize them then the ship will either crash or the files would not work.  Unfortunately there are many limitations with the engine that legacy uses.

Not that I'm aware of. Don't know if the AI has a setting for full power when they move a ship or not, but it would be nice if we could achieve various levels of glow brightness when giving thrust to a ship and have them tied together. Because it does seem to be doing it with the AI control somehow.

Moon once said that the ships were setup to have variable glow levels I believe, but legacy doesn't use them, maybe that's partly right in the Player controls can't but the AI does alter them?
