The reason being that the AI generally gets a weighted disadvantage by the way the game is setup.  That's why if you play a 1on1 with the same ships the player always has the advantage, even if the AI wasn't stupid as it is.  

An AI enemy ship gets a % of damage and hull strength etc.  Where the player always gets 100% of the values.

Some missions have had special ai enemies setup that are more powerful than standard, but most use "regular" stat enemies.  So most missions are quite easy.

The problem is, that now that I have installed the mod, it is easier then the stock game! I will fly right in front of enemy ships, and they just sit there.

The Registry is messed up on the Prometheus Class.
This is from "The True Federation Rises" mission.
Can you fix this glitch ???

Another thing...
There needs to be a lot more ships in the Tears of the Prophets mission featuring the  attack the Chin'toka system.

In addition to the ships already in the mission... There should be 3 Glalaxy Class DW refit ships, 2 more additional Mirand Class DW refit ships, 4  Vor'cha class cruisers,
A total of 8 Brel Class Bird of Preys only, (Not K'Vort Class) A total of 7 Romulan warbirds, 3 to 4 Saber Class ships, A couple Ambassador Class ships, Only 1 Defiant Class ship which is the U.S.S. Defiant you command.

This applies to the DS9 series Finally episiode "What you leave behind" as well.

So your saying in Omega that the enemy ships are just sitting there?  As well as other missions in the stock campaign?

Yup, that is what is happening. It also does that in the custom missions, and the skirmishes also most of the time have that problem as well. I can't figure out what is going on, I have tried to install it twice.

Hmm, see, I thought on Omega, it could have been the Omega Effect that messed up the AI, cos it disables the Warp Engines like detonated Omega Particles would do, and the AI don't always like that.............bu t if it's on other things, it can't be that.

That has been mentioned before. IIRC it's not possible to integrate new chunks into the game therefore modships have to use stock chunks.

The AI is being looked at for future releases, the AI is very different in reaction or lack of than stock legacy.  Unfortunately the basement isn't a nice warm cosy place right now for me to spend much time down there working on or testing things out.  Might have to wait for warmer weather around here till I can dig into it much.

With what you report there is apparently a messed up odf (or more than 1) for one of the Dominion ships used by the mission, maybe it's the Dominion Heavy Bug which was disabled at some point.  Also from the sound of it the TE Galaxy Ship icon needs a bit of adjustment to it's format.  both should be relative easy fixes once they are verified.


I'm sorry we haven't been fixing much with this build.  Although some is easy enough to fix if I'd have a clean version of 2.0 setup I haven't had one in a good while as I've been working on our next 2 releases since December.  As for the AI problems that is a rather extensive issue to work on and test out it doesn't make things even worse as a little change there can make a big difference.

The Enterprise Incident needs to be tweaked slightly.Based on the remastered episode which replaces the
third Romulan D-7 with a TOS Romulan Bird of Prey. So there should be 2 Romulan D-7's and 1 TOS Romulan Bird of Prey.

Thanks Teleguy - played the mission myself and have fixed the white box problem. At some point we'll be issuing a mini-fix for a few things. This will be one of the fixes.

and Eric - we'll look at that.
