In 2010 there is atleast one sizable addition planned for UU.  You might have seen something about "Origins" which is the next release that Nix is heading up development of.

I just got to thinking about getting some feed back.  Not saying that something "will" come of this thread/poll but I'll keep some things in mind while we work on our future releases here at CJG for UU.

So come here and tell us what you would like to see.

The maps are the way they are because up until recently, our mapping staff were pretty limited, but we now have a few people who are more able to map to the standard required, I (as well as others) did the best we could when we did the maps we did, which are now three years old.

Hey, I'm not belittling what you guys have done in any way. I'm in awe of you guys and the work you've done here.  bravo

But if this is the UUM Fanboy wishlist thread.. well.. I'm happy to provide.  Cheesy

One thing I think I would rather see than anything else is better performance. When I set up a 12 vs 12 instant random battle it brings my modest gaming PC to its knees. But thats wishful thinking...

I guess I'd like to see bigger battles... More ships and more exchanging of fire. I want to see Star Trek: ARMAGEDDON!!!  So angry it burns icon_twisted Evil

Hmm.. that was a bit much wasn't it...  grin Wink

All that would be possible ( if we had a more powerful, graphics game engine to work with ) but Legacy uses the Armada 2 game engine which is ...what...10+ years old?      Married     They jipped us out of the gate. But, we did push the game to the limit and beyond of what the graphics engine could take. Even I with a high end system crawls and stutters when I have more than 10 ships on screen. But yeah....it would be nice to see Star Trek Battles "Armageddon" like....My only suggestion is to "switch" to the lite explosions when doing large battles of over 20 ships. It does help some......

The only problem I had was my machine it was not fast enough and in the end it died because I over clocked it to the max, got a new rig now broke my piggy bank and bought an IBM, nothing like the real deal. I can run high end poly count models now I put in 4 gigs of nvida 6400 ram and a new nvida graphics card that helps. Boldly Go

Hello, I am new here, and I want to say that the UUM doesn't need anymore ships, but rather a way of ordering them from weakest to most powerful. I hope I am not necroing.

i chose other, Here's why....

More ships and better maps is a plus. New ships would be nice. but i prefer a more realistic feel for whats already there. better ships that are ingame already would be a first step. Some of our ships have already come a long way, with looks. Maps look good, but lack something.....Depth i believe is what im looking for. But this is most likely due to the Legacy engine. they just seem a bit...empty.
so in my opinion, fixing what we have first is tops. and maybe throw a new ship or two in every now and then.
